Should we use Naked Doors or builders own?

We're having a new kitchen fitted, and will be using a highly recommended building company. We were intending to get IKEA carcasses with Naked Doors shaker style fronts, but the builder is keen to sell to us their own custom made fronts, for £1k less and faster. I'm tempted but not sure what to do. Anyone have any advice?

We're in the process of redoing our kitchen and my plan A was to use Naked Doors. The quality is just lovely. In the end budget has compelled us to downspec a bit to MDF doors from Shaker Doors/Foxstow, which will look very nice but I still get a pang when I think of the gorgeous wood grain on the Naked ones. Would get theirs in a heartbeat if we could afford it!

Are your builder's doors real wood? Will you get the same quality finish? You can get samples from Naked (at a cost) to compare with what your builder can offer. Only you can really decide which you'd be happiest with though!

Don't be pressured into getting your builders doors. Have what YOU want, unless they are completely identical (compare samples).

Dont forget the builder will make a profit / commission if you choose his doors. And find out of hinges, handles etc are included or how much the WHOLE thing will cost with those bits as well.

Thanks all - I have decided to stick with ND!
