Please talk to me about the basics of installing a toilet under the stairs. It's a small space currently used as storage.

What do I need to consider - doesit require planning permission, does the room need to be a certain size etc.

Complete novice here so anyhelp is appreciated.

If I recall, minimimum internal size after it has had any tiling etc done, is 0.8m x 1.6m, with 1m x 2m being more comfortable.

The key thing is access to the soil pipe and also an issue can be if you have any meters in the cupboard which need relocating.

Shouldn’t need planning, but will need building regs after. You’ll need an extractor if no window.
