Woman plumber recommendation

Hi everyone,

I need to have a shower installed, no shower atm only a bath. My hot water pressure is not great however so I would like a woman plumber to find out what type of shower I can have and also for her to fit it. I am tired of men they keep using my toilet and either flirt or sound patronising and sexist which I am tired of!

I don't know if I need a pump o have a shower or install an electric shower if water pressure cannot be improved.

You do realise people on here are based all over the UK & beyond. You haven't said what area you're in but it's probably unlikely anyone would be able to help. Have you tried local FB pages

There is an organisation in the UK called Stopcocks that has a registry of women plumbers, if you look them up, they might have someone suitable

You are not in Northamptonshire but I will take the opportunity to recommend Pink Lady plumbers. They did two bathrooms for us and were fabulous.

I know it’s not a gas issue. But if you look on the Gas Safe register website, you’ll be able to look for women plumbers in your area, as they have to upload their photo to the site.

Then even if they can’t help, they might well be able to point you in the direction of a woman who can. Worth a shot?

I totally get this op. I do my own work because I’ve been so stressed by tradesmen in the past. Hopefully more women will enter the trades. They do in Australia where I’m from. It’s more mixed there.

@Chumleymouse I'm ok withusing the toilet it's just that for some reason they always use it everysingle time because and I have ocd when a man uses my toilet. With women using my toilet I'm fine+ they're I'm not goint any other negative interactions. I think from now on I would always perfer women for any diy I can't do.

@Cissyandflora, I do my own when possible. I'm all for women! Go Australia!!!

I get this too, I have had so many bad experiences with male tradespeople. I'd love to only have women do any work.
