Bedroom layout - help

We have a beautiful large bedroom with 2 windows. First one is an extremely large bay window - the straight part of it is 2 metres and then you have the side bits.

The other window is a side one, but is also large and must be nearly 2 metres. We have a original cast iron fireplace as well as a door into an en suite and a door to the landing, which means as nice as it is and as big as it is, there is very very little room for wardrobes.

I've attached an image but one option is that we move our bed under the side window and then put built in wardrobes all along the wall where our bed currently is, but in all honesty this isn't my preferred option as the bed would just seem to be in a "funny" postion - not very feng sui I feel, but really I have no fecking idea.

what would you do in this situation?

Could you put the bed in the bigger bay window and have wardrobes opposite? That way you keep the symmetrical aspect.

We could do, but the bay window is very low, from the windowsill to the floor can only be 60cm. We have a sleigh bed so the top of it would come half way up the window, which would look very odd from outside. The window on the side is much higher and the bed wouldn't come above the windowsill

Ah ok. We had our bed in front of our window, well two windows which the head was above the window. It didn't look too odd. Our bed is a Victorian repro style one. Maybe a net curtain on that window to blur it a bit? You can always move it if you don't like it.

I'd be worried about a draft from the window but if you have modern windows that might not be an issue.

What are the dimensions of the room? Could you pull the bed forward and construct a false wall behind it so you can have all your clothes storage space there? Something like this?

Looks like you currently have 3 wardrobes, 2 either side of the window and 1 in the alcove? Could another wardrobe fit in the second wardrobe? Also, I can't see where the door to the ensuite is on this plan?

I have similar bed rooms and had numerous freestanding wardrobes made to fully fill all the separate spaces available but no long run of fitted wardrobes which would not suit the period look anyway. There is the option to have much taller wardrobes if made to measure to maximize storage as ceilings will presumably be high. False wall would ruin the proportions of the room and view of fireplace and the joy of having dual aspect windows in my opinion.
