We have a sizeable bungalow in a desirable area outside of Glasgow. It already has a single story extension. We’re looking to do a loft conversion and carry that out on top of current extension. The roof angle is quite shallow so it would need to be sorted, which will add to the cost.
We’d be looking to put 2/3 bedrooms and another bathroom.
We have had 2 architects come out, the first gave us a rough estimate of 80-140 pre vat, another came and he was suggesting 200/250k!!
Has anyone done anything like this before? There is a wall that we’d be looking to knock down too to create an open plan living area!
