When should we hear back?

I know it's a how long is a piece of string question, but does anyone have an idea at least?

12 weeks in, slightly delayed due a minor/major issue (not sure yet until lender comes back). Solicitor sent report off to the lender last Monday and they forwarded it to their valuation team last Thursday. I phoned this morning and they said it normally takes 3 working days for them to come back. I'm not sure if it needs to go to their legal team as well though. The advisor on the phone didn't mention anything but my solicitor said it might be a possibility.

Does it seem likely that I'll hear back by the end of the week, if not sooner?

We received our mortgage offer a few weeks ago and were waiting for searches to come back and my solicitor to send any enquiries. The sellers solicitor has now come back and my solicitor has reported back to the lender.

My question is how long does it normally take for the lender to give the final go ahead?
