temporary split of bedroom

How would you split this room for two children to share until we buy a 4 bedroom house?

Th easiest logic is to split it 30/70 (picture) and access the smaller room, through the bigger one. However, if there is a way to avoid that it would be ideal.

Thanks

Would it work to create a tiny corridor, so each room could be accessed separately? If there's a need to be separate then going through one room wouldn't be suitable? Then the room could be split with a 50:50 size split.

That, or chop the corner of room 3 and move room 3's door so all rooms are accessed via the same recess.

How long for? What are the dimensions of this room and room 3?
Ages of kids? I assume you don't want the kids to share or something?

Are you building a stud wall to do it?

How big does that smaller room end up being. It looks tiny.

i'd do this

critically, remove the door with the blue zig-zag on so that there is just an open doorway from the landing to the new space with 2 doors off it. you can keep the door & frame etc so it is all ready to put back in a few years.

@parietal omg thank you! That makes so much sense yet I couldn't work it out 😅!

That's 100% what we're going to be doing.

Have a lovely day to you all for helping
