limestone look floor tiles layout

I think I have chosen porcelain floor tiles in mock limestone look. They are sold in different shapes and sizes. One option is mixed sizes and a mix of squares and rectangles. Any experience of this type of layout as I am struggling to imagine it and if it would be best option or not. It will be over a large area but will have large island and dining table so wont be one big expanse. Thank you

My daughter has the look you mentioned and we have the same large tiles but laid in the conventional way. You should be able to find pics on google.
One thing I would mention is that there is a lot more grout in the way you are thinking, and as the floor has aged it looks much dirtier than mine. She does scrub the grout, but to accommodate all the little squares a lot more grout lines are used. Worth bearing in mind.
