Help me find a dining table

Just moved house and new kitchen has Amtico white ash flooring and similar tone worktop. Rest of the kitchen is white. My current dining table is very orangey oak so looks atrocious. I’m looking for a dining table that is light, to match the flooring.

Closest I can find is from Cox & Cox but is slightly too big as I’d like to get chairs on the end, as well as have the benches. Hope the pic uploads!

Has anyone seen anything similar or can recommend any good places to look?

That might work, will see if I can visit a Next show room. The top might be too oaky but could be a good option. Thanks!

I wouldn’t say they’re uncomfortable but I would prefer to sit on a chair. I like the benches for the kids

Can you not sand back your current table and give it a whitewash? Cheaper and better for the environment.

I’d be tempted to get it professionally painted if you like it other than the colour.

Yes, 100% this! Have it sanded (or do it yourself) and whitewashed if you want to knock the colour back further. Or painted, as PP says.

I would paint your existing table rather than buy new.

I painted our pine bed as it was too orangey and dated looking. It's a very pale grey and looks lovely now

I've seen the NEXT one in store, its very deep cream and not that good quality. The Laura Ashley range is nicer but it is white.

I didn’t think of whitewashing our current table. I’m not at all handy so would have no idea where to start but I’ll do some research! Thanks all

I was pretty worried about painting our bed. I had never done anything like it before and, obviously, a bed is pretty big.

It was actually pretty easy. I sanded it down lightly and did about 3 layers of paint putting it on fairly thinly so it would not run.

Have a look on youtube as there are lots of videos showing how to paint furniture.

If you like your table and it fits the space it's a good idea to paint it

Would anything from this site work?
