Hi there all,
I am doing a loft extension very soon, to a house I have moved into, but that was done for tenants, so bare minimum for everything. It's winter now, and cold. I am draft proofing the doors and windows (which seem ok actually) where I can. What more can be done to quickly and cheaply insulate (I'll be putting down UFH in the reno for example).
My work will start at the beginning of the year, so I need some measures in place until then.
It's an Edwardian terraced house, so not much I can do to the internal walls I suppose. Like I say the windows seem ok. It is vinyl or Lino on the floor throughout - would rugs help? I don't really want to lay carpet for 4 months or so.
Anything else that can be done? I'm doing the loft, so will lay insulation up there then.
Any ideas, I'd be grateful. if there are any....
