Online kitchen designer recommendations?

Hello.

We are having an extension and total house renovation done. The work has come on apace and we need to choose a kitchen. The builder has an account at Howdens but we’d like some other options.

Can anyone recommend an online kitchen designer they’ve used who will design for different kitchens including more affordable options like IKEA? (We’ve spent all our money on the actual extension so don’t have mega bucks for a fancy kitchen).

Google throws up options but it would be useful to have personal recommendations / advice.

I know we could use the design software ourselves but surely a proper designer would do a better job? Open to thoughts on this too!

Thank you.

We wanted ikea carcase's and plykea doors and were too uninformed to do it ourselves and ikea didn't want to help much so followed the advice on the Mumsnet lessons learnt thread and the various other threads she's mentioned on and contacted Karen at one plan. She really did make a huge difference. Worth the fee £585 for the (quite big) kitchen and we added a few other rooms too so came to £890 in all I think? We have moved now so I will be calling her again.
Like all good trades though, she's usually booked a wee while ahead. So allow a month or so. ( there's lots of reviews to read on the Houzz site for her too, going back years)

We used Karen at One Plan as well and she was superb! As mentioned above, though, she does get incredibly booked up - I think we had a wait of about two months.

It's worth going to some places to get a hang of it all?

It's actually very simple once you get through that barrier.
