Estate agents scamming to steal vendors

An estate agent knocked on the door of the lady who was halfway through selling me her house, and told her her property had been undervalued, and to cancel her sale agreed with me, to drop her estate agent, and to go with them instead.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Does anyone have any articles or information about this that I can show her?
I really think she's being scammed and will lose out on a legitimate sale because she thinks she can get more.
I just can't quite explain this effectively to her without just sounding like I'm bitter.
Does it have a name even? Like gazumping?

It’s not scamming it’s pretty common and has been for years. I sold recently and must have had 20 letters through from agents asking if I’d go with them instead…
Tell her to have a look on rightmove and see what else is being marketed that will inform her the price she got is fair and these are being grabby.
