What do you think of this bathroom layout

Currently the bathroom is a rectangular shape, where the bath is positioned here is actually the 'dressing room' area of the long master bedroom (currently used as an office with no door). Wondering whether to just keep it as a rectangular shape with a walk-in shower (which it currently is) or take the wall down and make a pumping bathroom like this.

*pimping - although pumping could be interesting Grin

Is it the only bathroom? If not do you have a bath elsewhere?

Should add that the wall that the toilet is on is sloped (eaves) so that window is a skylight.

@minipie yup there is a family bathroom too and a single toilet downstairs. Our master bedroom runs the length of the house so it's big enough. This would just take away that dressing room area but when I move my 'office' to a spare room there's not much use for that space.

Swap the bath and shower over. It is weird to have a freestanding bath in a corner, and the shower would look better tucked away.

Ohsugarhoneyicetea · 28/09/2021 22:01

How would you clean behind that bath?

This is helpful thanks! Not thought of that. Got a bit ahead of myself watching property programmes and browsing Pinterest Grin

Move the toilet along towards the wall, put basin on same wall as toilet, bath where shower is and shower in the alcove.

I love a bath, so I would definitely include one. I don’t like like a freestanding one though. Where does your drink go?!

NinDS · 28/09/2021 22:07

Yes defo swap the bath and shower and will look fab! Better to use the space in your bedroom properly rather than wonder what to do with it once you move your office!

Brill will move things around in the design app Smile husband wants to look out the window when he's in the bath so may take convincing. The other window (above toilet) sits on the waves so is a skylight with obscured glass (sadly).

If you want to keep the bath there, I would have a boxed in bath that fills the whole alcove/corner. You can have a shelf above and at the back end for wine
