Aged Brass or Polished Chrome?

I need to order kitchen knobs today... I just decide. I love the look of aged brass, but worried it will date quickly. I think I'm a chrome person... such a big decision, as they're £22 per knob 😂

I've already bought polished chrome taps and light fittings, so I'd need to change all those.

First world problems

Sorry, forgot the question... which did you choose for your kitchen? And any regrets?

Thanks 😊

Chrome - I like the look of brass but I think it will date very quickly unless very nicely done as part of a whole look. We went for chrome and I'm pleased with the look and the shininess.

Then again everything dates.. and comes back again. Look at coloured bathroom suites.

I don't like chrome at all and have done our bathroom in brass. I love it but it probably has to tie in. The taps and towel radiator are brass and we have vintage railway accessories too such as the hooks and toilet roll holder and DH has made shelves using some steam train odds and ends and oiled wood. I like the look v much.

What kind of house do you have? Is it a period house like Victorian?

chrome is the most durable

but I have brushed stainless

if you're paying £22 for a knob, check on

I think it depends enormously on the kitchen and the house.

I'm sure in the right place chrome looks good but forme it lacks character and depth.

I am going antique brass
