Front of house inspiration?

I'm buying a house (whoop!) and the inside needs very little doing to it but the outside needs a brick wall between us and the neighbours, something done at the front that reduces the feeling of exposure (but still able to drive cars onto drive) and so greenery.

I've looked on Pinterest but can't find any ideas of what I want it to look like (all American houses). How do you find inspiration for how to transform the front of a normal looking London house?!

I literally just Googled “London terrace front garden inspiration” and a range of stuff came up from fences and walls to planting, bicycle boxes and tiles paths. (If you do likewise and that photo of the garden with a replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa comes up, I think that’s absolutely what you should go for.)

Unless it’s a large and open front garden, I’d go for a sturdy low fence with a higher trellis on the upper part, and cover it with greenery rather than a brick wall, else it can feel a bit hemmed in.

Have a wander around the area to see what others have done. Or an area with similar housing stock but that’s become super-desirable in last 10 years.
Like pp, I’d not choose brick due to cost, dumpyness, etc.

We bought an Edwardian semi-detached house so I Google Edwardian or Victorian semi or terrace. If you can pin point the kind of house it is and search that way that will help.

I just walk the streets near my house and have a look at what other people have done. There's usually a prevailing style of wall and railing and even bin store. Window boxes might be good if you want to avoid looking out on to your car.
