Moving a fridge freezer safely

We are getting a new kitchen fitted next week and need advice on moving our ff. We'll be putting it in the livingroom and it will be getting moved a total of about 2.5 metres so no plan to tilt it, will be shuffling it from one place to the other.

Does it need to be kept unplugged for a certain time after moving, or is it ok to use straight away as it's only being moved a short distance upright? Getting conflicting advice online.

Plug it right back in. I mean, if you have a power outage it just comes back on again, so see no reason not to!

As maofteens said, all will be fine.

Unplug it, move it, plugin back in.

Even if you did tilt it etc. nothing will be an issue.

I move our American style FF regularly to clean around it.

Thank you to you both - reassuring replies there!
