Just had our three bed house in Essex valued at £580k (not moving - can't afford to- just morbid curiosity!). It's got us thinking what could we swap our house for elsewhere in the UK.

Ours is fairly decent size but needs a lick of paint and the garden needs some TLC. Good catchment schools though and walking distance to two grammars.

Not a direct swap as we're completing next week on a house 100k less than this, but we've had the equity from our sale in premium bonds for months whilst in rented and searching for somewhere to buy and every month I was praying for the million so I could buy this and renovate it

That looks like somewhere you'd see in a hallmark film when the American star inherits a place in Scotland and later falls in love with the kilted, grumpy stranger who has collected her from the airport

OMG I NEEEED the Scottish farm! Sadly, I'd probably never persuade my family to come and live there with me :(
