Evening all,
So got a quote for some replacement roof tiles and to replace a fascia for velux on the roof. Also to repoint some brickwork above and the verges. £400.
The guy comes, replaces 3 tiles (of 12ish), does the repointing, and thinks the job is done.
Says he can't fit the fascia, due to timber frame that it fits into being rotten.
Leaves flashing kit as it's been opened but says wooden frame needs to be replaced...
Husband doesn't ask more...............(!!) (I was out at the time)
I call him and say errrrr you're not getting your cash pal til you finish the job! He said he couldn't get the tiles!!! Whose problem is that I ask?!
He came back yesterday (2 months later!) to do the rest of the tiles..
Nothing done with window....
Where to go next? We are left with a complete roof but faulty fascia and replacement fascia we can't do anything with, together with a £400 bill. Advice gratefully appreciated!
