Builder chipped my Ikea worktop!

My ikea worktop has been chipped by my builder. Its only a laminate (and not too expensive). My builder has offered to replace it but they are totally out of stock and don't know when they will have it back in due to the pandemic and shipping issues atm.

He has offered to look at other places but I've just noticed that IKEA worktops have a depth of 63.5cm which means they slightly overhang my drawers. Sites like worktop express have much less depth of 60cm which would just about reach the start my drawers but wouldnt look right at all.

I don't know what to do. Recommendations please. Any other websites that have the same depth?

I would ask your builder to check wholesale places like Howden's or Howarth Timber.

They May have better options

Which one is it? I have two huge pieces of the walnut type laminate worktop which were meant to be a kitchen island,surplus to requirements.

I have pretty dark units so want the worktops light.

Breakfast bars are 900mm wide, so could be cut down to match the Ikea width.

Not sure, but I think there might be some on there which are 640mm wide, too.
