Will the EA even entertain us?

Last year we pulled out of a house purchase, mainly because the sellers solicitor was a nightmare. It took 10 weeks just for them to send over the purchase documents. Always slow to respond to queries and the seller didn't seem that fussed either. We gave up in the end, withdrew our offer and continued to rent up until now. We have seen a beautiful house, within budget, in the area that we want but it's being sold by the same estate agent. If we requested a viewing, do you think they'd entertain us or even remember us?

I can't imagine they would remember you especially if you think about how many houses have sold in the past year. Even if they did it wasn't your fault that you had to pull out.

Definitely contact them to view.

They won't refuse to show you the house even if they do remember you. You won't be the first or last to do this.

They probably will remember you, but they will have dealt with this many times before.

And progressing the sale is one of the things EA should be doing for their clients (the vendors). Did you ever ask them to chivvy the solicitors? Did you explain clearly and honestly to them why you were pulling out?

Just be clear that you are serious buyers and will be looking to get going with the purchase.

Don’t worry at all, they want to make the sales, if you are in a position to proceed, they will be interested.

Do you have a property to sell?
