Hi all,
We’re thinking about buying a mid terrace in the Trent Basin development in Nottingham. Usually, I’m not a fan of new builds (often feel a bit ‘soulless’ and bad building rep), however this development feels very different to others- it’s different, has the eco friendly angle, it’s on the river (flood defences are very good and it’s in a low flood risk zone despite this), plus this is not our forever home and we’d be here less than 5 years, I’d imagine. We are first time buyers.
One of my biggest reservations is the fact it’s a mid terrace (townhouse style). Does anyone live on this development already and have any feedback on the soundproofing? I’ve heard such bad things about this from some in new builds, but this isn’t one of the ‘big’ developers (Blueprint Regeneration), and they feel very different to some of the bigger companies (and ethics angle and quality first focus). I’m hoping that the sound proofing quality will be high and we won’t hear too much, but looking for someone with first hand experience! Thanks.
