Bathroom costs

We are currently getting the bathroom renovated. Decided instead of getting a bathroom company to do it. We would organise tiler plumber to save money. It's been a right pain. 5 weeks on still not finished. Plumer has text me the cost for his work for 3 days £1300. Does it sound about right?

Sounds about right- we are doing both our bathrooms and the more complicated ensuite is 11k but that does include all cast iron pipes under the house replacing with plastic and a fair amount of tiling.
We are 5 weeks in here but it has not been 5 day weeks so I would say maybe 18-20 days labor to do it all but 430 quid a day for a plumber is about what we are probably paying in our high cost of living city. Our other bathroom is a little less at 7 K as less complex tiling so it should be quicker. In our mind a skilled worker is between 300 and 500 pounds a day so two workers and the job runs at 1 k a day labor pretty eaisly. Plumbers make 50-80 per hour and maybe do a 6 hour day? Sounds right.

Sounds about right to me, mine was £1700 for four days including materials. He had to move the soil pipe and changed the majority of the pipework. He also put in an outdoor hot tap. This included his materials (the pipework and tap). We supplied the bathroom furniture.

This is why we went with a company. Yes it cost £7500 but it was done to a high standard, organised in full be them, and was finished in less than a week. And that included moving a wall, moving a boiler and building a cupboard around it.

How much is yours going to be all in if the plumber is charging that much for 3 days? Have they been working solid for 5 weeks or did they rip it all out then disapear?

Yes sounds about right. Ours came in around 8k for full plastering, new pipework (location of bath etc in a different place), tiling, suite and labour. We decorated and built the boiler cupboard ourselves.
