We've had some valuations on our house and planning to list in the next week or two. We're looking to upsize from a 3 bed semi to a 4+ bed detached in the same village. It's the first time we've sold, so just trying to think of everything we need to consider. This weekend we're planning to tidy, touch up paintwork etc.
We have some integral cupboards in the bedrooms etc. Do you think people are likely to open these? If so they'll need a tidy. Same with kitchen cupboards?
As we live in a popular village, we've been advised that we should sell pretty quickly and for around asking price. However, all the estate agent we've talked to say that stock for the type of house we want is low and competition is high. It already feels a bit stressful. We've gone back and forth on whether or not to go for the move. Our current house is lovely and in a great location. We could stay where we are for another couple of years, but will eventually outgrow the house as the children get older so we know that ultimately we would want to move anyway.
Any tips on all parts of the process would be great.
