Anyone else sold but can't find anywhere to buy?

We only accepted an offer 2 weeks ago but there is nothing available for sale that suits us. Buyers are ok to wait but there are so many sstc houses nearby which have sellers in same situation. Hoping September brings more on the market.

Omg OP, I just created a post like this few days ago but for those who have completed their sale. I pulled out of my purchase (major issues with building regulations and I didn't want to take risk and vendor was being awkward). I ended up completing sale anyway as it was a ball ache. Chain free now, but can't find anything. Feel like I am regretting it a bit that I pulled out but it was causing me sleepless nights and I was concerned about implications on onward sale. There was also potentially a risk the lender could withdraw mortgage, and therefore that shows you how much of a red flag it could have been in the future (as future buyers would be saying the same to me!)

We've agreed sale but can't find anything. We went under offer 6 weeks ago though so bad timing as it was the start of the summer holidays. I'm finding it really stressful and disheartening, refreshing Rightmove every few hours and still nothing. We have a good buyer and don't want to lose them but what can you do? We're desperate to move

Yup we sold 9 weeks ago now, we've put one offer in 2 weeks ago it went to best and final offer and we were out bid 😫😫😫😫 and back to nothing we'd even want to view on rightmove for god knows how long again 😩😩 it's awful at the min xx

What I don’t understand is why there are no properties coming on? Surely as a sellers market people will want to capitalise? Or is it that when there’s nothing to buy that takes their fancy…there’s nothing to motivate them to move on.

We’re in the same position as most of you. Accepted an offer in May, can find nothing to buy. I’m assuming our buyers are going to walk tbh as they want us to rent (nothing to rent either - literally nothing!)

We sold at the beginning of May and have only just found somewhere! Put offers on 3 properties prior to this and lost out. We have had to go completely out of area as the competition where we are is ridiculous.
