Rustic internal doors

Extending and renovating a 150 year old cottage that has been evolved through the times and I am really keen to get internal doors that are as rustic as possible with black hardware (latches) like old farmhouse doors. Not a clue where to get these from and DH nor I have the skill base to make them.

Is there anyone who has bought these style doors? Where can I get them? TIA.

Are there doors in the house already? Our house is from the 1830s, and we dipped and stripped and stained the doors that were already in the house, as replacing the non-standard sizes would have been ruinously expensive, and in fact the doors, under layers of badly-applied paint, were decent enough. You can buy the latches easily enough online.

We had doors made by a local carpenter. Solid oak and beautiful.

The doors weren't original and they've long gone anyway.

Beautiful. Do you mind me asking about cost? I have a brochure here from a company and even their 'farmhouse' door looks way too manufactured and new! Not cheap neither.

I've bought old doors before from salvage yards. A furniture company near where we used to live would make bespoke doors from old floorboards, but they're no longer in business.

We’ve had the house for 17 years, I can’t remember the cost of them. Your best bet is to find at least two local carpenters and ask them for a quote. Oak will be expensive but they can use other woods obviously, which will be cheaper.

You can get them from a reclamation place. If you are anywhere near SE London I can recommend a great place.

I'm in South Wales!
Thanks though
