Payment for fixtures and fittings?

Maybe a dumb question, but what happens with any additional agreed payments for fixtures and fittings you leave behind?

We’re selling some furniture to our buyers and will leave it in the house when we move. We have agreed a price, but the Estate Agent just says they will transfer the money after exchange. Is that right? Feels like there’s a lot that could go wrong there if they don’t pay up as agreed.

We sorted this out before exchange
It was part of the agreement / contract so all part of the legal stuff

We bought a couple of items of furniture from the seller when we bought our first flat and we paid the money to our solicitor, who included it in the transfer for the purchase

From memory there is a long form which is fixtures and fittings and this is where we indicated what was included in the sale and what was being offered separately and the same with who we bought from

It will be part of the contract, so clarify with your solicitor, not the estate agent.

We bought some pieces of furniture in a pre ious house, we agreed the price and between exchange & completion we left the money with the sellers estate agent for them to collect

I also had cash paid to estate agent after exchange.
