I posted this earlier but in the wrong section? We live in SE London, wanting to move now dd & dsx2 will all be at Uni, spent weekends in Wallingford, felt good vibes, is there anyone here local? We lived in Grove, Wantage when first married, so know the area slightly, Oxford especially, where we will both be working. Its ok visiting but a different story actually living somewhere as we all know.
DMum wants to move to be near her sister in Henley, so we won’t be worried about leaving her behind, alone, in Kent.
We realise there is much new housing on the outskirts of towns. now, Wallingford being no exception.
We wont buy a newbuild so will not feel too much like offcomers. My dh is Oxford born and bred, it will be easier for him than me from Bucks.
Aldi, Lidl and Waitrose in the same town !
train from Didcot to London, river, castle, I hope this works out, any downsides please say. We dont want to be rural, in a village, as my
independent minded dMum will be on PT to visit, house/dogs/cat sit,
so the countryside, lovely though it is, wouldnt work. TIA
