Hive....

My mum has bought a house, and the previous owner had Hive installed..my mum will not need this, and will not have a need for broadband either..
Does anyone know how we would go back to using a simple thermostat/boiler? Or does someone need to come and uninstall the Hive system?

Hive can be used as a simple thermostat. There should be a control on the wall.

Once it's installed it doesn't cost any more.

Just leave it.

Thanks @Eminybob.. does the hive thermostat have a timer that can also be used without the hub?..sorry, very much a Hive novice lol!

Yes op you can set timers using the hub only.

Yes you can schedule it from the thermostat -

The thermostat uses radio frequency (RF) between the boiler and the thermostat, rather than broadband.

Yes you can set the timer on the thermostat.

The little white hub uses broadband. That's to control it via a smartphone or laptop.
