Does anyone here have experience with having an asbestos survey done on your home?
What exactly does it entail? Are we allowed to be home whilst this is carried out? Are they allowed to drill through walls etc
My elderly Aunt is having a new boiler and radiators installed in her council house. Since it's an older house they have to carry out an asbestos survey. A few days ago she received a letter stating that they will arrive on Monday morning, will be there for around three hours and will be drilling in areas of the house to take samples with no further details of what will happen on the day. She has only just informed me about the letter and I did try to call the main office yesterday but they did not answer. She is rightly concerned that they are going to be drilling holes everywhere causing dust etc
