Why to people lose their minds when moving house?!

We’ve been trying to move house for a long time and lm amazed by the madness of people when it comes to moving house.

The person at the top of our chain was initially reluctant to view, lots of waffle of “might” do viewings this weekend which went on for ages. Then he put in an offer on a house he hadn’t viewed and had tenants in which was accepted. Last week he announced he will go into rented so estate agents thought we could move next month, as the rest of us are good to go. This week he’s now decided he doesn’t want to do any of this and actually wants to buy a completely different house. Next week lm guessing the plan may well have changed yet again. I suppose part of the problem is some people do conduct themselves like this in all areas of their life Confused

I’m a FTB and I’m losing my mind due to my vendor’s indecisive behaviour. My were ready to go mid-August and we’re told directly be the vendor that ‘she had somewhere to go to’ so they’d be no chain. In the last few weeks we’ve learnt there’s now a new build on the horizon but the estate agent insists it isn’t part of the sale. We reluctantly agreed to her 13 September completion on the condition that we exchange contracts early. Now the vendor and her solicitor are on radio silence. I swear if this goes on any longer I’ll lose my mind. It’s impacting my sleep and quality of life. I just want the bloody contacts exchanged. Arghhh!!!

That sounds like my first purchase, they said they were not in a chain and we were FTB’s. A few weeks in it turns out they were buying a new build

Infuriating! Good luck with it all
