New boiler - holiday, leave on or turn off?

I am a paranoid person!

I have literally just had a new boiler system fitted today and am due to go on holiday in a few weeks. I have opted to leave the hot water on at all times as I don't want a timer as I feel like I don't always use the water at the same times if day... anyway!!

Should I turn the whole system off or leave on whilst away? Obviously it's going to be September so no chance of frost however I just get scared it'll never turn back on again lol.

Is it dangerous to leave on?

Thanks. Sorry for the odd question haha

@babymummy96

All off

Turn it off - and get a timer (otherwise you're wasting money)!

I always trust the boiler & the fridge to behave whilst we are on holiday.

Turn it off. And get a timer. There’s absolutely no sense in heating water unnecessarily

Is there a ‘holiday’ option on your thermostat? We have one and it pauses the system whilst we are away (kicks in if temp falls below 5c) and restarts for when we come back

If you have a hot water cylinder then I would use a timer. Mine is on for a few hours each day and we always have plenty of hot water when required.

I usually just turn the thermostat down quite low if we're going away. I dont turn it off

If we're going in holiday I tend to leave the hot water on constant (usually because I forget to turn it off) but I do turn the thermostat right down. I wouldn't turn the boiler off completely.
