Skirting board profiles

Just wondering if anyone has advice on this? It looks like two of the most readily available profiles are Ogee and Torus. Should skirting board profiles match architrave profiles around doors? Our architraves are Torus, but I think that I would prefer Ogee skirting boards, would it look odd to mix and match the two? Also, how high should the skirting be? Our ceiling height is 2.5m. Many thanks!

We have been adding ogee to our house as we have renovated room by room, though I didn't know it was called that till we had a builder in! We've changed architraves in the open plan area which is lounge diner, stairs and landing. Our skirting is slightly deeper than our coving, it felt weighted nicely that way. Our ceilings are all different heights so we have gone for consistent coving and skirting and it works fine.
