Moving to Canterbury as a Mature Student with Children

I am moving to Canterbury too as a postgraduate student at the University of Kent. I am looking for a decent location for my children , yet close to the university. This seems quite difficult as the student houses do not want families and family houses do not want students. I am getting very anxious as schools resume soon. Any advice?

Can the uni help? Contrary to the other thread you might try looking at Hales place as mix of student houses but also families and good primary school close (although can be a bit too studenty). St Stephens, St dunstan, whitstable Road are all close to university and villages of rough common, blean and tylers hill are all walkable (although Tyler's hill might be not be easy for schools if you don't have a car?)

Can your course be done online or distance in any way?
