Alternative to pin boards - idea help please!

Does anyone have any good ideas as an alternative to a pin board?
We want to put a map in the middle & photos around.

The space to cover is 170x120cm so both those options add up in terms of cost.

Any other ideas?

We have something similar to this (except we made it ourselves for pennies). Might work for you. Each to switch photos around, make a nice display, add other things, etc. I love ours and I think it looks good. Thanks! This will be behind a table so I think we'll have to go for something a bit softer in case taller people lean back. I bet it looks great though with photos clipped to it.

Would something like magnetic wallpaper work? The 2m squared one seems about the size you want.

I was coming on to say magnets. You can buy magnetic pain, magnetic wall paper, etc and then get magnetic photos printed off (groupon/wowcher often have special offers for the photos)
