Today we complete on our sale!

We sold back in March but our buyer was amazing and waited for our new build to be ready :)

I'm feeling a range of emotions - we have spent 14 years here from being our first home DH and I bought- we got married and brought our 2 babies home here. So many memories!

We move into our new home in 2 weeks and really excited for that but am I strange to be sad to be leaving our flat behind?!

Not at all. We left our home in Greenwich where I had two babies to move to a new house in Essex 16 years ago. I still miss it and always think of it; even decorated one of our bathrooms the same as the Greenwich house recently! I love my current home though.

Good luck in your new home! Not at all strange to feel how you do, I felt similar but being honest never really thought about the old house after actually moving into the new! It felt like such a massively positive move that all the sadness and nostalgia melted away instantly.

We have downsized recently, from our large family home, we lived there for nearly 20 years, our DS’ grew up in that house. I felt so ready to move, all the memories come with you. I didn’t feel sad locking the door for the last time. I was just keen to make the 3hr journey to our new home. Been moved 6 months now, never think about the house, I miss some of the lovely neighbours and often think about them, but our relocation has been a positive thing for my family & my disability no regrets at all. And thankfully, we have lovely neighbours were we live now. Good luck.

We are completing on the 31st, exactly the same as you - this is the house I brought my babies home to and our first home. I'm excited about the move and it's definitely the right thing to do but I know I'll be really emotional on the day.

So everything went smoothly today - I managed to get some time alone in the house before we left so felt I got to give it a proper goodbye!

Will be moving to our new house in a few weeks so the excitement will come along soon!
