Holiday Let Owners- which sites or agencies do you use ?

My contract is up for negotiation soon and I am scouting round for others to compare- particularly in service to owners and % charges. I am not local to my holiday let so can't manage it /do the turn arounds myself . I have considered marketing it myself but am not yet brave /mad enough

I haven't read great things about Sykes so won't be considering them.

Anyone with Cottages.com or holidaycottages.co.uk ?
Thanks

ps no moralistic judgements on holiday lets ruining the housing market on this thread please. I let out my former family home to pay for my parents care fees, the house had been in our family for decades, so no local families priced out or turfed out for profit.

Hi OP - not an answer to your question I’m afraid but I’m about to start letting a FHL - attached to our home. Do you know of anywhere where all the regulations you have to comply with e.g. fire assessments, PAT testing are set out? Everything I can find is related to tax!

I use booking.com for my FHL. Commission is 19.3% in total and I do all my own changeovers as I am local. I also take direct bookings via a Facebook page and I used to use Airbnb but I'm not taking bookings through them at the moment, although I might in the future.

@Nonononomaybe there's lots of regulations available on gov.uk I'll see if I can find and post relevant links

Try booking.com, perfect. My uncle uses it and he swears by it.
