Last year we moved into our own home after years of renting (Yay!)
We are an end of terrace 1960s Wimpey style house. DH wants to soundproof the party wall using ProSound SoundBoard4 from soundproofingstore.co.uk. It's 30mm boards that you screw to the wall.
To do upstairs and downstairs would be a weight of 900 kilos. Do we need an engineer or surveyor to tell us if this is too heavy, or are houses stronger than I think they are?
Also - do we need to go through the party wall process?
Thanks in advance.
