Ightbulbs keep popping

We have 2 light fittings in the kitchen, each with 3 lamps on that take Gu10 bulbs. We've been in the house 3 years and the bulbs are always popping! We had an electrician look and he advised to replace all bulbs with good quality ones, so we put Philips LEDs in. After a week or so 2 of the 3 lamps on each fitting popped! These bulbs are meant to last years and they aren't cheap.
Has anyone had similar? It's so annoying in the winter as I have to cook in semi darkness with these constantly popping bulbs.

I use cheap LED GU10s from home bargains and they seem to last for ages

Did he check whether it was the light fitting itself that was the issue?

Are they 12v or 240v. If they are 12v I would suspect the transformer is faulty.

Yes they checked the fitting, the switches and the circuit!

Could be a loose connection, although that would only really affect the halogen ones, if it's led ones that should be fine.
A possibility for led ones is the fitting covers the bulb too much and the heat can't escape, those ones can't survive heat at all

I think I'll look into replacing the fittings. With the money ice spent on bulbs could have had some really nice ones!
