Rain coming in

I have just had my bathroom done and noticed a crack in the wall above the window.
It’s just poured down and it’s leaking.
How is the rain getting into it?
If the builder comes back and plasters over it will that fix it?

If its raining coming in then it must be coming in from above that area. You'd need the fixed before you think about plastering. What is above there? Roof, guttering, etc

I will get my brother to check it out.

It could also be failed mortar if it's a brick house? We had similar and had to have the mortar drilled out and repointed.
