Solar panels

I am interested in getting solar panels we have a south facing garden but live in a area with shorter days in the winter so not so much sunshine however long days in the summer.

Does anyone. Have them? How do I work out cost comparisons etc I do know most energy in Scotland is green anyway so am I wasting my time as the energy we buy is green?

Depends if you are using a funding scheme. I'm not knowledgable about solar panels but I do know that when friends have moved house...they have all been asked the same question which was
