Have you joined the local community page on Facebook? I was thinking of moving down there last year and saw several items being listed for sale.

Hospiscare have a warehouse your shop on Marsh Barton, and also have furniture in their Fore Street shop. British Heart Foundation in Sidwell Street also do furniture.

If you're on means-treated benefits, you can be referred to Turntable who are great; you can buy furniture very cheaply from them and they deliver.

Perispan - not on benefits. We're buying a property hopefully completing next week and the owners were planning to sale on a lot of their furniture to us as moving abroad but changed their mind a couple of days ago for no known reason. so we need to find some furniture even if we just get some basic cheap stuff and then build up from there. I feel a trip to Marsh Barton coming up.

Furious.... and to top it all we were meant to exchange today and our solicitor said she couldn't get hold of theirs.. suppose I'd better delay my pilgrimage to Marsh Barton
