I don’t think you can have access to the big three (Rightmove, zoopla and prime location) without using an agent. And you severely restrict your audience if not on any of those. But you can use websites like houseshop.com.

A few people near me have recently just advertised on Facebook and had interest, however do bear in the that you might actually get more interest if on rightmove and therefore get a better price by using an estate agents?

Strike are free to use and they use rightmove.

What area are you?

Strike. As a buyer, its a great system. You could also put a little sign up outside if you're an area with a lot of footfall?

My EA added 10% to the value of my home for a 1.25% fee.

It was a great deal.

I would put the energy of managing your own sale into finding an excellent EA.

Use an estate agent and get it on Rightmove. If you want to do it yourself use a basic online estate agent such as strike or 99home. But be prepared to do all the work yourself.
