Burglar house alarm question thank you

Hello we have a veritas 8 burglar alarm and the power light changes from being stable and then flashing . If we set the alarm will this work or will this cause problems . We tested setting the alarm and the alarm beeped in sections of 10 then space but carried on doing this and didn’t stop. We tested this for 3 mins . My question is would anyone know what would cause this and we are going away for a few days . Is it safe to set alarm or will it go off ? Thank you

Have you had a power cut recently? Or a power surge?

Possible the fuse inside the control box has blown

I wouldn't really recommend it, but you should be able to set the alarm by omitting this fault. To to do this you need to OMIT ZONE 0 as follows:

(YOUR USER CODE)+(OMIT)+(0)+(PROG)

Hi I think we did have a power cut or surge a while back . We don’t have a omit button on the key pad? Thank you
