Our photos were done today.
Mumsnet advice followed- decluttered and decluttered some more/clean and clean some more/stunt pineapple in pride of place. The photographer thanked me for making it so easy for him (thanks mumsnet wise ones!!)
The sun even shined 🥳
The photographer says photos will be with estate agent in the morning.
Does it take long to List on Rightmove once the EA has done the details?

Our estate agent said that he liked to put things up on right move on a Saturday afternoon. His reasoning was that we would have a week to get people lined up for viewings the following Saturday. We went with this and ended up with 17 viewings on the day. Best and finals completed by Tuesday afternoon.
So although it could be very quick to list, the EA may have another plan.

Don't rush, make sure you are 100% happy with photos, floorplan and proposed wording on social media. Once it's out there it can be tweaked but you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Livingintheclouds · 26/07/2021 22:51

It took about a week, and even then went up without a floor plan which took ages.

HouseIsOnFire · 26/07/2021 22:58

Mine were taken Friday, agreed Saturday and listed today, it's so nerve wracking!

Kate88kate · 26/07/2021 23:30

@summerstressing oh that’s interesting and makes a lot of sense. 17 viewings- that’s incredible! You must be somewhere very desirable with a lovely house to sell. Did you show them round? I can’t imagine doing it 17 times in a row, mad but brilliant.
@WallaceinAnderland excellent advice and so true.
@Livingintheclouds I’m going to find that a long impatient wait-I guess I’m hurried along by the daunting thought of trying to keep my house spotless with the kids 😂
@HouseIsOnFire so exciting!! Good luck and keep us posted!

We had our photos done 3rd June, online a week later and open day a week and a bit after that!
We accepted an offer on 23rd June and exchanged today!
It can be pretty quick and painless if you have good people and everyone is organised! Best of luck

LemonSwan · 27/07/2021 02:13

We had our photos on afternoon the next day. Viewings that evening and 40 over the next 5 days.

Our estate agent worked his butt off. Best and final with multiples offers in less than a week.

Saussin · 27/07/2021 03:20

Met agent on a Monday. Photos on a weds, reviewed details and photos on Thursday, viewings and 2 offers on Friday and accepted an offer on the Monday.

Andthenanothercupoftea · 27/07/2021 06:34

We had the photos sent through for approval along with the text for the website and floor plan on the Saturday (photos done on Thursday) We had a couple of tiny changes which we sent back same day, then they were up on the Tuesday (Monday was a BH).

We were listed in Rightmove less than 24hrs from having the photos and video done :)

RapidRadish · 27/07/2021 09:43

Stunt pineapple? Like a literal pineapple? You do realise that's a secret wink to indicate you're a swinger?

readytosell · 27/07/2021 09:57

Same here. Straight after photos and video done, the agent edited them, sent the draft that afternoon for me to approve and went live the next morning. Had first viewing that afternoon!
SummerStressing · 27/07/2021 16:41

@Kate88kate it was a basic starter home, but yep height of the stamp duty frenzy and Home Counties location. We didn’t show them around. The estate agent did. We did get forwarded all the feedback and offer emails which was really interesting! Some really random points and some things that we would have adjusted if we had other viewings.

Kate88kate · 28/07/2021 22:37

@SummerStressing ooh what would you have adjusted?
We are on and have a viewing booked. I was hoping for at least a couple at the weekend really but board went up today so it’s still early days.

@RapidRadish wait, what?! 😆😆😆
Mumsnet says a stunt pineapple is essential
We’ve eaten our stunt watermelon after the photos 😄
