Replacing doors and windows - will this look odd?

Hello, we need to replace 25 year old upvc doors and windows on our traditional stone built property.
We have decided to replace the white windows with cream as it really suits the style and period of the house and will (hopefully) look lovely with the stone.
Due to the cost, we are having the eork done in stages, so having the doors done first and then the windows a year later.
Obviously the door frames will need to be cream so that they match the cream windows once they're in.
I'm having a last minute wobble though! Will the cream door frames look really odd with the windows still being white in the short term?

Not at all. Your windows will look odd as if they need replacing, and then you'll be really delighted when it happens. Speaking from experience!

Thank you so much for replying, that's really reassuring. I am just worrying about them being a different colour but I'm thinking from what you say that even white door frames would stand out with them being new

What about painting them? It’s a cheaper alternative if you are not looking to change the design and just the frame.

Companies do this

We had considered painting the window frames but they do need to be replaced as they are old, badly fitted and have gold fittings and a gold line round the internal casing which can be seen from the inside
