Kitchen colour for rental

I would really value your thoughts on what colour kitchen units to chose for a rental. The units will be Howdens shaker and I was tempted to go with a blue to give it a bit of a wow factor. The worktops would be an off white quartz. Do you think this will date quickly? Should I just be boring and go with white units and a darker worktop?
Thanks

You need to think about the hard wearing ness of the surfaces. I would go with a darker worksurface and of a high quality matt laminate for rental. For cupboards that are easily repainted I'd go for any light colour so it won't be too difficult to do. I.e. not dark blue. I would choose plain white tiles for a splash back. If it's a very high end rental quartz may be appropriate.

Laminate for a rental unless ultra high end

It's a rental. Take your heart out of it. Practical dark laminate for the work surface and light (but not white) cabinets. Grey, cream or a light wood colour would be best, I think.

We put cream coloured shaker style units (Howdens) in a rental, with good quality oak effect laminate worktops. It still looks really nice over 10 years later.

My rental is high end and I have very dark navy painted solid wood cabinets and marble effect quartz worktops.
I personally dislike dark worktops and would go grey cabinets and light laminate worktops.
