I'm buying my own home!

Divorced, trying to get the mortgage in my name only. It's been a long process, as I've only recently gotten a job that pays enough to afford the mortgage, but today I found out I've only gone and been approved!

I'm so relieved. My house will be my own. My dc will have a roof over their heads because of me. What a feeling!!

I'm in the exact same boat, had my video call with the bank last weekend and have now been approved for my own mortgage. Ex has taken my first (low) offer of a payout as he has debts and the house will now be mine and the DCs. I had been having panic attacks in anticipation of this all thinking it would never happen and I'd be financially tied to ex forever.

Never thought I'd be ever in this position after years as a SAHM and having to start my career afresh 4 years ago. I feel so so relieved and happy.
