How much for new bathroom

Hello, my bathroom is very small and needs a complete renovation.

Size is 1.7m x 2.2m

Would need a new bath with new electric shower

Toilet, sink and cabinet as the wall the toilet and sink are on are a nightmare for mould. So I was thinking I could build the toilet and sink into a cabinet so you can never see that horrible wall.

Cost permitting I would desperately like a Japanese toilet haha

Do you know how much this would cost approximately?

Following because I'm in the exact same position but I'd love a Japanese soaking tub!! My even smaller en suite was quoted £5.500 from wickes which I thought was a bit much and out my budget as I need both bathrooms done. I've been looking at buying from Victoria plumb and getting someone in to fit.

I wanted tiles but the sheets (name escapes me right now) look to work out cheaper

Oooh yeah a Japanese tub sounds great too!!

5k does sound a bit much doesn't it.

There's some things I could do myself, I could for example tile a floor but I definitely cannot do plumbing or wire in a fancy toilet ha

I had two quotes of £4000 for labour only - then I went in my local Next door and got a quote for £1300.He will do the work alone and it will take 6 days. Worth shopping around.

£5-£6k - I had my whole small bathroom refitted earlier this year.

Also following because I would bloody love a Japanese soaking tub instead of my very average bath, but my bathroom is tiny and I have no spare cash 😂

Silkiecats · 17/07/2021 21:35

Ours was about £6.2k last year for everything including tiles walls and new flooring and fitting. London area. Bit smaller, mid range things.

We have a decent sized bathroom. In a couple of weeks we are having

Bath taken out
Large walk in shower with fixed screen installed
All tiles removed and made good
New spotlights in the ceiling
Marine boards to 3 walls the ceiling and flooring
New toilet and sink in a vanity unit
Double headed electric shower
Towel rail to replace the radiator

Quote is £4300 including all work supplying everything and disposing of all rubbish/waste

We are south west if that makes a difference. Highly recommended plumber he’s done my friends bathroom.

Having a new shower room fitted next week, sanitary wear was £1150 from Victoria plumb and plumber is charging £3680 to fit and tile. It includes plasterboarding the walls and a new ceiling and knocking down a small wall. But rubbish removal will be extra.

The en-suite which I was quoted 5.5 for is tiny and I've got 7k to do both bathrooms. I want to keep my bath in the main bathroom as I really do like a bath but if I got a Japanese soaking tub in the main, I'd be able to fit a shower in there too.

I just procrastinate as I'm scared of spending all that money and I'm dipping in a little every month Sad so it's getting less and less. I think it because I'm a single person I'm actually a bit scared to go ahead with it all.

I also need 13 windows and 2 doors and have been quoted 11k all in but need to wait til September as I need to put this on my mortgage and I've only had it five months so far.

Just wish there was someone to say let's go for it and if it costs a bit more we will manage Sad
