Has anyone tried London Wallbed Company, or other wallbed companies?

Hello

I am considering getting a wallbed for the second bedroom in my flat. We have previously had a ‘normal’ bed in there but given it isn’t a large flat that doesn’t seem the best use of space.

I’m really taken by the idea of a wallbed and this company looks great. Wallbeds seem bloody expensive though! So I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with them or any other wallbed companies, good or bad, to help me assess whether the price is worth it?

We have a study bed and are really happy with it. It isn't the most attractive piece of furniture though, more functional

No, it's a different wall bed company - they specifically do desk bed combos only

We do! Ours is from Wall Bed King, and was much more reasonably priced than London Wallbed Co.

It really comes down to what you want - London Wallbed Co mostly (but not exclusively) sell full package solutions, including both the bed mechanism itself and the furniture/cupboard to conceal it when not in use. They have some very lovely, very clever ideas, but can be £££.

Wallbed King only really sell mechanisms, plus a very basic cabinet system. If that basic cabinet isn't what you want, you'll need to use a carpenter (or be handy yourself) to build a cabinet for it. However, you get a lot a flexibility, and a good price. This is the option we chose.

Hideaway beds are another company that do more of a choice of mechanism-only solutions, and some nice storage systems, but they were more expensive than Wallbed King.

We're absolutely delighted with our wallbed. It's a really practical solution for a smaller or multi-functional room. The mechanism from Wallbed King is robust and secure, and I'd happily recommend them.
