For the first time I'm considering getting a round dining table. Sitting 6, but big enough to squeeze 8 at a pinch.
I find the websites confusing, with some 130cm tables claiming to sit 6, and some 150cm tables the same, with another 140cm diameter table claiming to sit 8! The room is not that big, and one needs to get to the garden around it, so I want it on the smaller side. I measured out a 90cm by 160cm rectangular table which fit fine, but wanted to try round (I know about the 1m between table and wall or other object). It will be a style where it's either a pedestal or legs in such a way that they wint interfere with seating.
I'm not living there yet so can't cut out a shape to try it out! What do you have and how many can you fit around? Chairs will be a sizable 50cm wide.
